UNDERSTANDING THE REAL KIM JEONG HOOn

Many people say that Jeong Hoon is an "sports-idiot", is he really one? If we say that he's a "dance-idiot:, it's still reasonable, because Jeong Hoon once told his fans that they can request him to do anything but definitely not dancing, and even commented that he wants to be one who can dance in his next life! (One who can only dance is useless! Silly!)

However I beg to differ. Isn't Jeong Hoon's billiard very good? And his school results are always number 1. Surely the results include sports as well? (It can't be that Korea has no sports results right..) If his physical fitness results were bad won't it pull down his results? Moreover his horse-riding is not bad, basketball is fairly good and he can swim (although he learnt for a long time). From this, he can't be much of a "sports-idiot". It is just that when compared to other aspects of his excellence, his sports ability may seem to be like that of ordinary people.

As for him being a "dancing-idiot", it is inevitable, especially so when he can't dance and participates in gameshows such as "Love Letter" and is compared to people like Shinhwa and Dong Bang Shin Ki who are dance experts.

Even so, I still like this "sports-idiot" idea, as I can feel everyone's love and tolerance for him.

After talking about the real sports, let's talk about his small actions.

Jeong Hoon's small actions are plentiful! Who doesn't know that he's one who can't sit still, not even a minute.

His most frequent small action has to be his "mouth exercises", which the mediatook a lot of photos of, during his Taiwan trip. (In the end it was said that he pouted because of boredom, but he pouts at any time of the day!) Other small actions include touching his head, nose, bracelet, his eyes looking around, observing the surrounding people, events and things.

These small actions appear during interviews and variety shows the most.

I believe those who watched "Yu Le Bai Fen Bai" don't find them strange, but after watching "Xin Lang" and "SoHu"'s interviews, you will realise the restlessness in "Yu Bai" is nothing compared to the latter. Jeong Hoon's just too spontaneous, no matter if the camera's capturing him, the reactions he display are always the most natural. (Even if others don't understand they will look straight at the camera and display a very "in-the-mood" look. You - when you come to other's place, you should have paid attention.. see.. now you are being misunderstood..)

It isn't any better when he's in Korea. It's only that it's not his individual interview but at variety shows that he presents such an attitude.

I often hear people say that he's not suitable for the showbiz. Besides his accepting and humble personality and his unwillingness to reject others, there's also his unwillingless to seek attention. When there are many people appearing in a variety show, Jeong Hoon will never seek attention to show-off.

My personal experience of watching Jeong Hoon's variety shows:

I once watched one without Chinese subtitles. He only spoke 4 times in 1 hour, which in total is only about 5 minnutes plus. Most of the time he's listening to others speak. If it's funny he would stand by the side and laugh (at this moment usually the camera will automatically shift to him, because his smile is too beautiful and handsome, but the total time is still only that much). If it's not, he would do his small actions. I say "President", I already can't understand Korean, please smile or laugh more, so as to let me catch a few more glimpses of you!)

The majority of JH fans have seen "X-Man" & "Love Letter" with Chinese subtitles, but because JH doesn't excel such sports-filled programmes, he does not stand out when he plays. When it's not his turn to play, he would put his hands behind and stand at a side, and during the segment "Of Course" which he's good at, he's too good such that his opponents are defeated in a few seconds and again that doesn't earn him much video footage.

In "Ye Xin Wan Wan", when the host doesn't ask him, he would just sit there quietly. Da Yuan Yuan (name of the host) is just sitting beside you, counting the amount of footage he has and you have, even my mum asks me why you appear so few times! But you can't say that he's not paying attention and not showing respect. When the host interviews him, he answers very sincerely and seriously; when you ask him to demonstrate he puts in effort (just like the classic one where he acts cute - super cute!)And also when the question is asked till the end and others can't answer, he then answers. Can't you be more spontaneous? Although it's simpler in the beginning)

These 2 days I saw this behind-the-scenes shooting of a music video of a song which was sung to cheer on the athletes who are taking part in Olympics. IN the behind-the-scenes interview, there were so many people, everyone tried to squeeze in so as to be captured on screen and were dying to speak, but him? Stood at the very side, whom we could only see half of. It it wasn't for the far-angle capture when it ended, we wouldn't have seen him.

And there's one more point which surprised me a lot. After watching TV for so long, I actually saw an idol who shook his legs when on TV, and to think this is Prince Yul, whom everyone believes to be elegant and poised! *Faints* CEO, aren't you too... sigh...! I have nothing to say regarding all these...
